Decorate Some Summer Flip Flops

This week in Transfigurations, the students at Hogwarts need to magically make over some flip flops. Here are some fun ideas.

Some with buttons....

and with strips of colorful fabric tied on the straps.

 I love these ones with beads.

 How about googly eyes!

 Or Balloons!

Or making some flip flops out of Nutter Butter Cookies to pass off their assignment this week.

10 T-Shirt Transformations

For Transfiguration this week at Hogwarts, the students get to transform a plain old t-shirt into something new and exciting. This t-shirt can be made to celebrate the World Cup or the Fourth of July or some other summer celebration in your neck of the woods. Here are a few ideas for T-shirt transformations.

Star Stamp T-Shirt
I like this ingenious idea of using corrugated cardboard for a unique star stamp! Did a wizard think of this or what?

10 minute T-Shirts
How about these cute and easy t-shirts from Tater Tot and Jello. 10 minutes? Love that.

Firecracker Tie-Dye T-Shirt

I love this Patriotic Shirt from I love to Create. Tie dying is actually one of the easiest spells you can learn! I am serious! Find a few of our easy tie dying tips here.

15 Different Ways to Decorate a Pot

For Herbology this week at Hogwarts Summer School, the assignment is to decorate a pot and plant something in it.

Here are 15 different ways you could decorate your pot.

 Don't you love this footprint butterfly? 

 Stripes are so easy and fun. Just mask off a section or two with painter's tape. Then spray the rest with a can of spray paint. 

These geometric shapes or dots could be made with stencils or stickers

 Wrap your pot with pencils

Or with twigs

 Paint it with chalkboard paint. 

 This mosaic pot is made with broken plates. 

This one is made with tile grout spread all over the pot and then covered in tiny treasures- buttons, keys, locks, and gems-- then the grout is allowed to dry. 

 How fun are these photo planters! 

You could always paint a pot like a Ninja Turtle. 

 Cover a pot with gems...

 Or pour on some paint.
